Turtles?

We went over to our friends house to get the kids acquainted with their sleepover location the next night. This is the first time we have EVER left our kids at someone's over night, so we were a little nervous. But the kids loved their new friends and all the next day, they talked about how excited they were to go to the "Turtles" house...

For our fifth anniversary, the gift to each other was to get away for the first time ever! Bob also surprised me with flowers after work and then said, "but I can't take any credit." Huh? My cousin does flowers and she had extras from a wedding she was doing that weekend, remembered it was our anniversary, called up Bob and brought the display to him at work! Is she amazing or what?

Too bad I only got to enjoy the roses for the half hour before we took off and then for less than a day on Friday since we were leaving town. My cousin said put them in the fridge...but they were too big :) Oh well, my aunt enjoyed them for me for HER anniversary.

Bob and I went to a Destination Inn Athens!

Of all the rooms we looked at a few months ago, we never saw Athens, but we both fell in love with the architecture when we opened the door: The cedar flooring, red, gold and marble! Ohh, gorgeous.

Not to mention the Greek statues and paintings around the room. We both felt at home surrounded by the Greek Gods...is that weird? Don' answer that.

Thanks turtles for watching our kids!

We are hoping to go to the Greece for real down the road, but will probably have to find some other 'animals' to watch our kids for a more extended period of time. It's be a miracle if we can find a room in Greece that looks out of the Parthenon, like the view above.

Reflecting: Life was so easy when we got married...well, two amazing kids later, life may not be easy but it is definitely an adventure. Thanks for a wonderful five years, sweetheart. I love you!

See you in Greece! :) Oh and every day until then
