Happy Mother's Day
A few years ago, after learning how much these cost...I decided to make my for Mother's Day and Ella loved helping me this year. Bob kept asking; "Is it Father's Day?"
As for the weekend, I asked Bob for a "romantic date" that could involve food, talking and not too much walking...NO, seeing Star Trek at the theatre does not count as romantic :) Instead, Bob planned a romantic picnic outside while the kids took naps, or we thought they were napping anyway. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to sit and talk at a time other than the wee hours of the morning--which is when our talks usually happen.
Bob made breakfast the Sunday morning before we left for church. About half hour into church, we left to go sit in the car and receive Rachel's call from Spain. She is leaving the Spain MTC and heading out to the mission field on Tuesday. She sounds so happy and it was so fun to talk to her. She doesn't know where she is going yet, but will find out soon!

After church, Ella gave me a royalty crown to wear and then presented me with this card, with James and Ella's hands and five things Mommy does for them. It was a beautiful day and with such amazing kids, it is a joy and pleasure to be their Mom.
For dessert! Mmmmmmm
Later that evening my brother called from Spain with news about Rachel. She will be serving in the Vitoria area and her companion is a sister that has served in that area twice, so Rachel will be well cared for, he said. :) What a wonderful day filled with family and love.
Yet even later (we're talking about 2 am), I received this from a friend. Enjoy!
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful sisters, mothers, aunts, and grandmas out there! I hope you had a very special day and felt like the Queens you are! A special thanks to the women in my life that have sacrificed so much and have always been there for me. I love you!
