Spook Time

Halloween. The day kids dress up and get candy, right? Well, our kids dress up just about every day at home, at school or play. So you would think they would go "all out" right? Well, not quite. To them, it was just another day...


A week before, the kids had a party with Up with Kids Theater group. Ella was Cinderella and James was Captain America. I had Pack meeting for scouts and dressed up as a soda jerk from the 50's (no roller skates though :) The boys said they loved my costume and then " um, what are you?" Gotta love it!

 The day of Halloween Ella had a songs/skits program for the parents. Ella was Rapunzel and James was Captain America.

We went Trunk or Treating. Ella saw this man and asked: "Are you a dentist?"
I haven't been to our new dentist, but this concerns me just a little bit...hm, maybe more so :)

Notice Ella's costume. She opted to be a ballerina, picked out the whole outfit on her own.
And what was James for Halloween? He couldn't be Cpt again, had to change like Ella, so he grabbed his Spider-Man mask/cape and occasionally wore it while gathering candy. Kids!

Daddy joined us as we made our rounds in the ward and then headed home to watch a scary movie. With so little time (having done more T-or-T than last year) we found a short clip on Netflix, watched Monsters invade Modesto again with Mutant Pumpkins while downing way too much sugar. (Why do we do this to ourselves?) Until next year...
