James, who is Your Daddy?

Saturday morning, after bringing James to me in bed, Bob rolled over trying to get a few more winks before he had to go to the temple. James sat up and looked over and Bob's back and said "Da-da!..Da-da a few times. I cheered him on, but Bob didn't want to encourage him so he kept the blankets over his head. James continued babbling "Dad-da, Da-da, Da-da Bob!" :) So cute!

James loved to practice his new skill for me most of the day...when he got tired and I leaned down to get him out of the car seat, he said "Ma-ma!" YEAH! I felt so special and grinned from ear to ear!

Neither of these are actually his first words though...for the last couple months he has been saying "Ella," especially when he finds her with his eyes. Now that he is crawling for real, sometimes he will call her name and go find her, or when he is upset with Mom and Dad, James will growl, her name, as if she can help him, so she likes to play mother to him...but for the most part, they are best buds!

It won't be long before James holds conversations on the phone, but for now, he loves to grunt and scream at the phone. Too bad we aren't all cavemen :)
